Chocolate Haystacks

Ingredients

  • 1 c semisweet chocolate chips, divided
  • 1 c cocktail peanuts
  • 1 c chow mein noodles

Instructions

  • Put 2/3 c chips in heat-safe dish.
  • Place dish in the HOTLOGIC®. Plug in the HOTLOGIC® and zip shut. Heat for 1 hour.
  • Remove chips from heat, Add 1/3 c chips. Stir until smooth.
  • In medium bowl add noodles and peanuts. Pour in melted chocolate and stir until evenly coated.
  • Put wax paper on a cookie sheet. Spoon mixture on to wax paper making 1½" piles.
  • Set aside to harden, 4-6 hours.

Notes

It is important to reserve some of the chips to add to the melted chips. The solid chips will temper the chocolate so that it will harden. If all the chips are melted at the same time, the Haystacks will need to be put in the refrigerator or freezer to harden and store.
